Thinks well in the air!FLIGHT COMMANDERS COURSE ASSESSMENT26 Jul 68 He completes his %u2018Wings%u2019 Course with an overall mark of 70.61% (just High Average). His progress has been erratic throughout -believing at the beginning he was only here for a few months and didn%u2019t really need to exert himself to get through. He certainly believed in the idea that %u201cJack was as good as his Master%u201d. He was extremely resentful of criticism and inclined to sulkiness. He has improved a lot in the last monthsbut he still has a long way to go both to improve his ability as a pilot and to take instruction from his Instructors without resentment.SQUADRON COMMANDER%u2019S COMMENT30 Jul 68 He may still feel he is a SUO at Advanced Flying Training and it%u2019s possible he may have the same problems as 3 months ago!Within 10 years, after becoming a %u2018CREAMED-OFF%u2019 QFI first, Rob obtained an A2 QFI rating, was an IRE on the Phantom and then a QWI on the Hunter. Upon retirement he had achieved 10,000+ flying, both with the military and an airline, before a final flourish flying the Hawker Hunter during 2014 air-display season (Pre-Shoreham).
