                                    2812 things. They were generally much lighter and more trusting about being moved about. And on at least one occasion, the girl moved her arm around and held my hand. Very sweet I thought.I mentioned that when I did my CSRO course, I was warned to take the course out of our wood if the wind got too bad. This happened to one of my courses. I was asleep when Mary came and woke me up. Two of the students had fled out of the wood as trees were falling and had gone to a nearby house. They then phoned Mary from there. I told them to go back to the edge of the wood and wait by a stile where we always went in from. I then woke up Mik Taylor who was the GSTO at that time. He was a great bloke and had played Rugby for Leicester at some point, I think. The students were a bit scared of him as he was very large and a bit loud, but actually he was very caring towards them. When we got to the wood there was no sign of the 2 who had got out, but trees were crashing to the ground all around. We charged into the wood and up to the shelters. Some students were awake muttering, but lots were fast asleep. We shouted at them, %u201cget out, don%u2019t bother with your boots, grab your stuff and run to the stile%u201d. Once they were all out of the wood and we had moved clear of falling trees we got them to put boots on and make their way to where we had our 2 Landrovers. They were very tired and a bit shocked, but we shepherded them along and packed them into the vehicles. Once we reached Mary%u2019s we took them into our lounge and lit the fire. Mik got the kettle on and made them all tea. I think we made them some toast as well. We explained that the toilet was upstairs, and I think that the girls in particular were grateful for that. Harry, who usually slept downstairs looked a bit annoyed and so I took him to my room. We got caramats , sleeping bags and anything else that we thought would be useful out of our trailer and bedded them down on the floor. I wish I had had a camera because it was quite a sight. Basically, a heap of students all lying next to each other. They took up almost all the floor space and when Mary came in later to do
