257so did all the rest which was fine with me. About this time we bought a second hand caravan. We had had one very wet weekend with the mountain rescue team in the Lake District and Gabby said that was that. She would not sleep in a tent again. That Easter we took the caravan down to Cornwall to show the boys our old house. I cannot remember where we camped but we did visit the house and knocked on the door. The owner was really interested to see us but a family member had died the night before and so they did not want us to come in. We had a good look at the garden though and saw the massive hedge alongside the road that I had planted. We then drove over to Millford to see Mum. We usually went down each year at Easter and I would enjoy a beer and a chat with Dad. I missed him. I have a picture of everyone sheltering by the sea wall. Gabby is looking a bit unpleasantly to me and has her tongue out. She was a bit off but I had no idea why. I was no longer OC1 and also no longer had the MRT so life should have been a bit easier. As we approached the summer Gabby became more and more distant and I realised that something was very wrong. I got home early one day and Gabby was out. I decided to look around for something, I knew not what though. In her chest of drawers, I found 5 photographs that had been taken with a polaroid camera. I was nearly sick. The panto that year had been Cinderella with Gabby in the main part. She looked and was great. The last time we had done Cinderella, John Robinson had been Buttons and we thought that Graeme would follow the same format. However, he liked to play us all against each other to get a bit of something out of us and this time he got John Redman to play the part. We had been daft henchmen in the previous year%u2019s panto and were all good friends. He and I would go down to the pub together from time to time. In the panto he and Gabby were often on stage together and I suppose one thing led to another. The photos showed that they were having an affair.
