7with hot wires. I also had my own small shed that I fitted out as a sheriff%u2019s office. I cut a hole in the roof so you could climb onto it, lie down and shoot at the other side in any game. I also had a jail where we could lock up the baddies in our games. My parents pretty much left us to our own devices. Chapter2Having passed the Common Entrance exam, I was sent to Wellington School in Somerset. I had visited it with my father for an interview but when term started, I was taken to Paddington Station, put on a steam train and that was it. It was just a matter of following other boys in the same uniform. When I arrived, I discovered 2 other boys in my house, Lights, were in the same boat. The house master, Mr Culver, was a bit surprised as most boys were brought by their parents at first. In fact, after that I think I said goodbye at Bookham station, made my way across London and carried on down to Wellington on my own. The arrival day was a bit odd in that school did not start until the next day. I remember we all went into the town and watched an x rated film, %u2018The Mummy%u2019 and something else. The 3 more senior boys%u2019 dormitories were on the top level together with a small dormitory for 6th formers. A prefect slept in each of the dormitories. There was a bath rotor, and you had a bath once a week, although you could shower after sports. Once I was a prefect you could have a bath every day after the other boys had finished. There was a fire escape
